FC Somers is a travel soccer club that is affiliated with the Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL). The travel soccer season is comprised of two seasons, fall and spring. In each season there are approximately ten games played. Generally five of the ten games are home and five are away. Games are played on Sundays and will be scheduled between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Each team practices twice a week. All Somers residents between the ages of 8 to 18 are invited to register and tryout for acceptance into FC Somers. Tryouts occur in May for teams which will play in both the fall and spring season.
What Do Travel Registration Fees Include?
Registration fees cover: Registration with Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL); League competition (up to 10 games per season, 20 games a year); Referee fees; Insurance costs; Club administration fees; Uniform: red jersey, white jersey, black shorts, 2 prs black socks (uniform replaced every 2 years, see below).
Training and tournament fees, and supplemental gear (warm-ups, backpack, etc) are additional (see below). You will be advised of the training and tournament fees that relate to your team by your Team Manager.
FC Somers Uniform Policy
Adidas team uniforms are replaced every two years. The cost is included in your team registration fee. The included uniform consists of 1 red (home) jersey, 1 white (away) jersey, 1 pair of black shorts and 1 pair of black socks.
Additional gear can be purchased through your team manager at various times of the year. Items available include: warm-up jackets, warm-up pants, backpacks, additional red and white jerseys, shorts and socks.
Returns, Exchanges and Refunds
Due to the fact that jerseys are printed they are non-returnable, exchangable or refundable. All other gear is exchangeable if the original tags are attached and items are available.
